ToGo carpool! Commute easily to work or different places by filling the extra seats in your car through this super-duper user friendly ridesharing application !!
We are trying to build trusted communities of people on all routes of your city, so that members can carpool to office daily with other like-minded peers. We create chat groups (resembling WhatsApp groups) for carpooling based on your home-office route.
Steps for finding co-travelers:1) Enter your daily home-office route details in ToGo You will automatically join a chat group of people travelling on your route daily, based on our unique route matching algorithm.2) Post your ride or contact others posting rides in the group chatWhile posting a ride, with just 2 clicks, you can specify your time of departure, and whether you want to give lift/ take lift.
You can join more route based groups besides home-office group, such as home to airport, home to tourist attraction, etc. Even if you are traveling inter-city long distances once in a while, you can become a member of the respective group.
Safety measures:• Avoid sharing ride with someone you don’t know before meeting them in a public place• Utilize the option to travel with colleagues or with co-travelers who have verified their official email ID• You can even opt to share rides with members of same gender• You can ask for co-traveler's ID, driving license & personal references, if required• Anytime if your instinct says that something is not right, you can stop the ride sharing
Etiquette:• Make sure you pay all your expenses that you actually owe to the lift giver• Inform well in advance if there is any change in your schedule, and that you are not carpooling that day.• Decide the pick-up and drop points before you enter into the carpooling gang to avoid any confusions later• Be mindful of loud music, the way you drive, verbal communications, cleanliness, etc.
We ask following in-app permissions.1) Contact: To let you know that a "ToGo user" is calling you when you get call from an unidentified number2) Location: To let you input GPS based current location while entering your journey route3) Storage: To retrieve profile pic from device storage4) Call: To call your travel partner
